Partnership with Professor Tsong-Long Hwang of CGUST to explore AI-powered innovations in small molecule drug design

Vizuro LLC, a leading innovator in multimodal causal AI and generative AI technology, announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tsong-Long Hwang, Ph.D., Vice President and Distinguished Professor at Chang Gung University of Science and Technology (CGUST). This collaboration marks the beginning of discussions toward a formal industry-academic cooperation agreement aimed at advancing small molecule drug discovery through Vizuro’s AI platform, Apotek.
Under the MOU, Vizuro and CGUST will explore joint development projects utilizing Apotek’s AI-driven drug discovery capabilities, integrating both causal AI and generative AI approaches. The collaboration will focus on:
Design and optimization of small molecule compound, and
Data sharing from CGUST’s cumulative wet-lab experimental data to enhance AI prediction models in drug discovery process.
Yu-Feng Wei, Co-founder and CEO of Vizuro, shared:
"We are excited to collaborate with Professor Hwang, whose expertise in pharmacology and translational medicine will bring valuable scientific depth to our AI-driven approaches. By combining our AI technology with CGUST’s experimental capabilities, we aim to shorten the drug development timeline and expand the frontiers of precision medicine."
Tsong-Long Hwang, Vice President and Distinguished Professor of CGUST, remarked:
"This partnership represents an important step in integrating advanced AI tools with biological research. We look forward to exploring how AI can accelerate our discovery process and enhance the translational value of our research."
About Apotek
Apotek harnesses groundbreaking causal AI and generative AI technologies to build an integrated platform that transforms multi-omics data into actionable insights — enabling novel target discovery, biosimulation, and generative drug design. By uncovering cause-and-effect relationships rather than spurious correlations, our approach enhances biological interpretability, improves model robustness, and accelerates decision-making across the drug discovery pipeline.
